Keyless Entry System

Keyless entry systems are a reliable method to secure your rental property without the need for physical keys. These systems allow tenants and guests to enter the building using an entry code, or using their smartphones. They also integrate with intercoms to offer audio and video communication, providing multiple ways for people to access the building. Certain keyless entry systems employ cloud-based technology which allows them be controlled remotely. They also offer more advanced features.

A keyless entry system can be installed anywhere in commercial or residential property. The hardware must be placed at each entryway. The system then needs to be configured and managed through a central console, or through a smartphone application. According to Technavio the world's keyless entry system market is expected grow at an annual rate of growth between 2016 to 2022 of 11.8 percent. The market's growth is attributed to a rising demand for security systems for commercial vehicles.

Many people worry about being locked out of their homes, and so they often leave an extra key in a safe location. This poses a significant security risk as criminals know where people keep their spare keys and can easily find the keys. Installing a keyless entry in your home is the best method to avoid this. This will stop you from ever being locked out of your home.

Transponder Chip

The transponder chip - or "chip key" is a microchip that's embedded in the head of your car key, it's also one of the primary security features of your vehicle. The word transponder comes from the combination of the responder and transmitter. This is because, after the key is fitted into the ignition and the key is turned on into the ignition, the antenna of your car sends a burst radio frequency energy to the transponder chip. The chip responds by sending its own unique identification code to the antenna ring, and the car's computer can then identify that information and determine if it is a genuine key.

The key must be a transponder key to start the car, if it is not, then the vehicle will remain in motion. The chip is protected by a polycarbonate coating that prevents it from being copied with regular mechanical keys or copied using laser equipment. Beishir Lock and Security offers a large selection of transponder keys at a fraction of the price of car dealers.

In the 1980s, GM began to introduce transponder chips into the Corvette. This technology dramatically reduced vehicle thefts by making hot-wiring obsolete. This is a brief explanation of how a chip key works and should you have any concerns, feel free to contact us.

Immobiliser System

The engine immobiliser system (also known as the anti-theft) is an essential element of your vehicle's security. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or Smart Key fob, the transponder chip inside transmits a code to the vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The ECU confirms that the code transmitted by the chip matches the one stored in it and only then allows the engine to start.

This is the primary way the immobiliser in your car prevents theft. If the code on the chip does not match, the ECU will stop the flow of current from the fuel pump relay to the injection system, preventing the engine from starting. Additionally the immobiliser can disable the starter motor as well as the ignition coil to prevent the engine from being started by force.

Unfortunately the system isn't completely secure. The code that unlocks the immobiliser on your car can be cracked by thieves and used to open it. However, the latest versions of these systems feature a a longer cryptographic sequence that will be more difficult to figure out.

Car immobilisers have been required from 1998, but a lot of cars had rudimentary immobiliser systems fitted prior to the introduction of immobilisers. Although immobilisers make it harder to steal a vehicle it doesn't stop thieves from towing your car away or breaking in to steal your possessions.

Key Replacement

If you lose a remote or key fob or remote, it can be a hassle and very expensive. A locksmith will need to gain entry to the vehicle and decode or read the VIN, then reprogramme the new replacement to wipe out any signatures from the computer for all keys that have been lost, stolen or damaged.

Key replacements will be more expensive if your car is equipped with a transponder and/or integrated security chip. These chips send a signal to your car that confirms that you are the driver and allow the doors to be opened or the engine to start. The cost of an intelligent key replacement is $160.

fiat replacement key fob  recommends that you register your key code as soon as is possible after purchase. This allows you to purchase spare keys or more keys in the future.
